The contributor does technical support via telephone and Internet chat for college and high school courses offered online via independent study. The following are two conversations he had via chat in one afternoon:
Contrib.: Independent Study Technical Support. How may I help you?
User: my computer told my to stop and i couldnt sumit then i fixed it and now some how it got submited and the grade never came and it didnt tell me which one i got wrong and now i have to pay i dont think so!
Contrib.: I am not quite sure what you are saying.
User: my computer wad having technical difficulties and then i sign that poped up after i tried to sumit the assignment and it said STOP access denied
User: then i got i fixed snd it said i alredy sumited and to pay a fee and to re do the assingment
User: i couldnt sumbitt so why pay
Contrib.: Perhaps you should call us at 1-800-xxx-xxxx. The pauses in your voice should do what the punctuation isn’t.
Contrib.: Technical Support, how may I help you?
User2: ohh yea i wold just like to asked if when i click submit n it shows yourrequest is being process.. do i wait for like acknowledgement or i could close the window?
Contrib.: Which page are you on?
User2: i just enrolled
User2: n i click submit button already
User2: n it shows how much i got charge n stuff like that
Contrib.: So you are asking about the “Submit” button on the enrollment page?
User2: no if i could close the window after i click it?
User2: ohh yea i tried to see whats on when i log in and it shows some starge fonts? is that really wat suppose to show when i just enrolled
Contrib.: You should probably wait until it says your enrollment was complete.
User2: ohh ok
Contrib.: Starge fonts?
User2: strange fonts.. not alphabets its like some kind of crapz
